A HIT RESET field guide · 90 days
How to start a 90-day journaling practice
Begin with one honest page. A guided journal gives your thoughts a place to land and your next step a place to begin.
Start with the shape
One day at a time. Room to be human.
A 90-day guided journal is a simple structure for looking inward and choosing what to do next. You do not have to solve everything in one sitting. Start with what is in front of you.
The daily rhythm
01
Read a little. Let it land.
Each day begins with a short teaching and a quote. Take a moment with the idea before you move on.
02
Answer one honest question.
A reflection question gives you somewhere to begin. Write what is true for you today; it does not need to sound polished.
03
Choose one small action.
Close the page by naming a doable step you can take today. Let the next step be small enough to start.
Before you begin
Start with the life you want to build.
Give yourself a few quiet minutes to picture the change you are working toward. Then bring it closer: what might progress look like this month, this week, and today?
Make the first step small enough to do.
- 01
The bigger picture
What are you working toward?
- 02
This month
What would count as movement?
- 03
This week
What is one thing you can finish?
- 04
Today
What is one small action you can take now?
Every thirty days
Stop. Look back. Keep becoming.
Checkpoints create room to notice your identity and direction as the months move. They are invitations to reflect, not grades to pass.
30
Day 30 · Who am I?
Name who you are becoming.
Pause to put words to who you are now and how you want to show up. Notice what the first month has taught you.
60
Day 60 · Who am I?
Look again, without judgment.
Take stock of the person you are growing into. Let your answers reflect where you are, not where you think you should be.
90
Day 90 · Who am I?
Carry the learning forward.
Reflect on who you are now and what you want to keep practicing. Finishing the pages can be a beginning of its own.
When you lose momentum
Pause long enough to hear yourself.
Some pages make space to sort through what is not working, what is getting in the way, and what could help you move again. Take a breath. Choose one next step. Return when you are ready.
Keep the practice kind and steady
- Choose a time and place that already fit your day.
- Write what is true. A few honest lines are enough to begin.
- If you miss a day, come back to the next page when you can. You can keep going without making the practice a test.
Faith can be part of the page
Make room for what grounds you.
HIT RESET includes occasional Identity in Christ reflections: quiet invitations to consider who God says you are. They are part of the journal's faith-centered voice; take them at your own pace and let the rest of the daily practice meet you where you are.
Choose where to begin
